During the 2026 World Mobile Communications Conference (MWC 2026), China Telecom, together with Huawei, showcased breakthroughs in wireless large uplink technology, providing core network support for the world’s digital and intelligent transformation. Wireless large uplink is a key direction for upgrading the core capabilities of 5G-A networks, focusing on efficient expansion of uplink resources. Through coordinated high- and low-frequency operation and uplink technology innovation that complements SUL, China Telecom and Huawei have successfully addressed industry challenges in traditional networks—weak uplink coverage and unstable throughput. Field tests in Anhui show that, with Huawei’s 2.1G 8T equipment, the large-uplink network can achieve an uplink peak data rate of up to 1Gbps, enabling stable transmission of 20Mbps anytime, anywhere, and completely breaking through the uplink bandwidth bottleneck. Currently, China Telecom has already joined forces with Huawei to roll out large-scale pilots of wireless large uplink in Shanghai, Hefei, and Changsha County. (People’s Finance News)
