Abstract generation in progress

JiJie Network news: CapCut today announced that ByteDance’s AI video generation model Dreamina Seedance 2.0 is now available in the United States. All users can try it for free once, and new users get a 50% off discount on a CapCut Pro subscription for the first month (limited time). The model can be accessed through three channels: the CapCut app (v17.1.0, AI Lab entry point), the desktop version, and the web version (Video Studio), and it is being rolled out in batches. The United States is the main market that entered last in Seedance 2.0’s global promotion. Last week, ByteDance expanded the model to Africa, South America, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, but excluded the United States. Hollywood studios such as Disney, Paramount, Warner Bros., and Netflix previously threatened to take legal action against ByteDance over alleged copyright infringement, and the backlash had previously forced ByteDance to pause its global promotion plans for a time. CapCut says this launch includes “strict safety measures” to prevent unauthorized use of personal likenesses or intellectual property, but it is still unclear whether ByteDance has resolved the copyright dispute.
