U.S. military refueling plane crashes in Iraq

In the early hours of this morning (March 13) Beijing time, the U.S. Central Command confirmed that a U.S. Air Force KC-135 aerial refueling aircraft crashed in western Iraq, and that another U.S. aircraft “landed safely.” The U.S. Central Command said the incident occurred during a military operation against Iran. The crash site “is located in airspace controlled by friendly forces,” and the cause of the crash “was not due to enemy fire or our own forces’ fire.” Rescue and search operations are still ongoing. As the situation develops, more information will be released. (CCTV International News)
