CryptoWorld News reports that the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) has officially issued guidelines for financial institutions and their fintech subsidiaries using stablecoins. FDIC Chairman Travis Hill stated at a board meeting in Washington on Tuesday that the new guidelines will establish standards regarding reserve assets, stablecoin redemptions, licensing activities, and capital requirements to address the growing integration of digital currencies into the financial system.
