Odaily Planet Daily reports: U.S. officials say that the Trump administration is preparing to hold in-person talks between U.S. and Iranian officials within the next few days, with both sides working to reach a long-term agreement to end the war between Washington and Tehran. White House press secretary Leavitt said, “The possibility of holding in-person meetings is currently being discussed, but until the president or the White House officially announces it, nothing has been finalized.” Officials said the talks are likely to be held in Islamabad, with Pakistan’s deputy acting as the mediator and attending. They added that, given the two-week ceasefire agreement announced by the United States and Iran tonight, the likelihood of the talks is increasing. According to officials, Trump’s special envoy Witkoff, his son-in-law Kushner, and Vice President Vance are expected to attend. Vance is currently visiting Hungary, and sources say that if the timing is right, he may add a stop to his itinerary. (CNN)
