In Wednesday’s Asia early trading session, WTI crude oil fell 2.02%, to $73.663 per barrel. US stock index futures moved higher: Dow Jones Industrial Average futures rose 0.90%, S&P 500 index futures rose 1.00%, and Nasdaq 100 index futures rose 1.00%. Precious metals climbed: spot gold rose 0.89% to $4,747.45 per ounce; spot silver rose 0.93% to $73.60 per ounce. On the news front, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz said in a social media post in the early hours of the 8th that he asked US President Donald Trump to push back the “last deadline” by two weeks, while also asking Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz for two weeks as a show of goodwill.
