So Byrna Technologies just announced a leadership shake-up. Their CEO bryan ganz is stepping down after running the company since 2019, and they've brought in Conn Davis to take over the top spot. Interesting timing given how much goes into these transitions.

Ganz has been with the company for a while - joined the board back in 2016 before becoming CEO. Now he's sticking around for the next six months as an advisor to help Davis settle in, which is pretty standard for these kinds of handoffs. The board went through an extensive search with outside help to find his replacement, so it sounds like they took their time with it.

Davis comes from MasterBrand where he was EVP of Strategy and Corporate Development. Before that he had roles in corporate strategy and ecommerce, plus earlier experience at Fortune Brands Home & Security. Guy's got a pretty solid background in strategy and business development across different companies.

Also notable - TJ Kennedy, who joined as a director back in September 2025, is now becoming Chair of the Board. Herbert Hughes stays on as a regular director. The whole thing feels like a planned succession rather than a surprise departure, which usually means smoother transitions. Curious to see how Davis shapes the company's direction from here.
