On March 30, China Reinsurance released its 2025 performance announcement. In 2025, China Reinsurance achieved total premium income of 180.37B yuan, up 1.1%, and insurance service revenue of 103.09B yuan, up 1.7%; net profit was 10.22B yuan, down 7.8% year over year, while net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company was 9.77B yuan, down 7.4% year over year.

In 2025, the Property Reinsurance segment recorded insurance service revenue of 45.81B yuan, down 0.5% year over year, accounting for 43.7% of the Group’s insurance service revenue (excluding inter-segment offsetting). Profit before tax was 6.57B yuan, flat year over year. Net profit was 5.11B yuan, down 1.2% year over year.

In 2025, the Life Reinsurance segment recorded insurance service revenue of 10.09B yuan, up 2.5% year over year, accounting for 9.6% of the Group’s insurance service revenue (excluding inter-segment offsetting). Net profit was 3.9B yuan, down 7.4% year over year. The main reasons for the decline in net profit are updates to business assumptions and prudent asset appraisal; the Group’s ability to develop with resilience has been strengthened.

In 2025, the direct insurance business segment for property insurance recorded insurance service revenue of 48.87B yuan, up 4.2% year over year, accounting for 46.6% of the Group’s insurance service revenue (excluding inter-segment offsetting). Net profit was 1.26B yuan, down 14.7% year over year. The main reason for the year-over-year decline in net profit is the provision for impairment losses related to the transformation business.

For the asset management business, as of the end of 2025, the Group’s assets under management totaled 796.15B yuan. Of this, the Group’s total invested assets balance was 462.06B yuan, up 4.1% from the end of the previous year; and third-party assets under management were 334.09B yuan, down 12.8% year over year.
