US Vice President JD Vance stated that there will be “extensive negotiations” before the deadline set by President Donald Trump for Iran to either open the Strait of Hormuz or face US strikes on civilian facilities. “The deadline set by the president is about 12 hours away from now, and we will wait and see,” Vance said when discussing whether Iran would reach an acceptable agreement. He added, “But before that, there will be extensive negotiations, and I hope a proper solution can ultimately be reached.”
