The sixth batch of Chinese troops to Abyei and the helicopter squadron completed the friendly forces rotation and transportation mission.

Recently, China’s sixth batch of UN peacekeeping helicopter squadron to Abyei completed, over a 20-day period, the mission of conducting air transport for the rotation of personnel, equipment, and supplies for the Pakistan peacekeeping infantry battalion. Throughout the entire operation, the process was safe and smooth, and carried out in a professional and efficient manner. The airspace conditions in the Abyei area are changeable, with frequent sandstorms and dust weather. After receiving the task, the squadron strictly followed the United Nations aviation work standards, and planned flight routes in light of the terrain and features of the mission area as well as the air situation and meteorological characteristics, assessed risks, and, for key links including mixed loading of personnel, loading of equipment, and transfer of supplies, further refined operating procedures to ensure that responsibilities were assigned to specific individuals and that operations were carried out in a standardized manner.
