Sulin elected as President of Vietnam
Local time on April 7, during the 16th National Assembly session in Vietnam, Sử Lin was elected President of Vietnam. Born in July 1957 in Vietnam’s northern region, in Hưng Yên Province, Sử Lin has worked for many years in Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security. From April 2016 to May 2024, Sử Lin served as Minister of Public Security. In May 2024, Sử Lin was elected President. In August 2024, Sử Lin was elected General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam; in October 2024, he no longer served as President. (CCTV News)
