The cost of importing US soybeans in our country is 689 yuan per ton higher than in Brazil.
In recent times, the cost of importing U.S. soybeans into our country has still remained relatively high. On April 3, China imported U.S. soybeans for the May shipment period at a CNF quote of US$515 per ton, which was higher than Brazilian and Argentine soybeans by US$39 per ton and US$44 per ton, respectively. Converted to the duty-paid landing cost in South China, it was 4,472 yuan per ton (13% tariff), which was higher than Brazilian and Argentine soybeans by 689 yuan per ton and 727 yuan per ton, respectively.
