Swedish telecommunications company Ericsson has filed applications to register three trademarks in Russia for heating, cooling, and ventilation products, despite suspending operations there in 2022. Rospatent noted that foreign brands aim to secure and renew trademarks to protect against counterfeiting and preserve their reputation, even in inaccessible markets. Ericsson significantly reduced its Russian operations and staff between 2022 and 2024.
