Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: Promote the recycling and reuse of retired power batteries to develop in new, higher-quality, smarter, and greener directions

On March 31, at the national new energy vehicle power battery traceability information platform launch meeting, Ai Chong, deputy division director of the Resource Comprehensive Utilization Division of the Department of Energy Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that launching the information platform is of great significance for improving the management level of the recycling and utilization of retired power batteries and is a key measure to support end-to-end management. He hoped that enterprises across the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain would fully implement the traceability management requirements for the recycling and utilization of retired power batteries, work together during the “15th Five-Year Plan,” and promote the development of the recycling and utilization of retired power batteries toward new, better, smarter, and greener outcomes.
