Iran strikes the U.S. military amphibious assault ship USS Lhipoli
【Iran Strikes the USS Tripoli Amphibious Assault Ship】Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said in a statement today (April 6) that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy and the Aerospace Force jointly launched “Operation True Promise 4,” Wave 98, to carry out strikes. The statement said that the U.S. amphibious assault ship “Tripoli” (LHA-7), which carried more than 5,000 American sailors and Marines, was struck by Iran and was forced to retreat deep into the southern Indian Ocean. Iran’s naval units used cruise missiles to strike the Israeli container ship SDN7; the missiles hit the vessel, triggering a large-scale fire. In this round of operations, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps also used ballistic missiles to strike multiple strategic targets in Israel’s northern and southern regions and in Haifa, and it struck chemical facilities in the southern city of Beersheba and defense industry facilities in the central city of Petah Tikva. The statement noted that several aircraft at Kuwait’s Ali Salem Air Base were also subject to precise drone and missile strikes by Iran during this round of operations. (CCTV International News)
