On April 7, Bill Hagerty, a member of the U.S. Senate Banking Committee, stated on Monday that after months of delays in Congress, he expects a viable path for the digital asset market structure to emerge in the coming weeks. Speaking at a policy summit on digital assets and emerging technologies at Vanderbilt University, he mentioned that his Republican colleagues plan to push for the bill’s approval in the Banking Committee starting next week. “I hope we can integrate all this work soon,” Hagerty said regarding the Senate’s bill efforts. “On the Banking Committee side, I think we are very close to our goal, and I expect we will submit the bill to the committee in the next work cycle starting next Monday, so we should be able to present it to the Banking Committee in the coming weeks.”
