It's interesting to analyze China's economic map. When it comes to the wealthiest city in China in terms of average income, Shanghai clearly leads — 83,000 yuan per capita, which is a whole different level. Immediately after it is Beijing with 85k yuan, while Shenzhen rounds out the top three with 81.1k yuan.

But what's really interesting is that besides these three giants, there is a whole group of cities that are seriously competing for attention. Guangzhou, for example, shows 77.8k yuan, Suzhou — 77.5k yuan, Hangzhou — 76.7k yuan. All of them are in the same weight category, with minimal differences.

Shenzhen is especially impressive as a tech hub. Huawei, Tencent, BYD, DJI are based there — basically, the country's entire tech elite. It’s the second such center in the world after Silicon Valley.

If we talk about less well-known but still very wealthy cities, Ningbo holds 75k yuan — home to the largest port in the world, through which all global raw material trade passes. Xiamen also performs well — 74.2k yuan, and interestingly, wealthy people from Fujian prefer to settle there, which has even driven property prices higher than in Hangzhou and Guangzhou.

Shaoxing rounds out the top ten with 72.9k yuan, but it has a developed private sector, and the creator of Nongfu Spring hails from there.

For those seeking high salaries, the conclusion is clear — these ten cities remain the main centers of capital and talent in the country. Shanghai and Beijing are still at the top, but competition among the others is becoming increasingly fierce.
