Unilever announces that its food business will merge with McCormick

On March 31, Unilever said in a post on its official website that Unilever and Wm. Wrigley? reached an agreement under which Unilever’s food business (excluding India and other divested businesses) will be merged with Wm. Wrigley? . Unilever and its shareholders will collectively receive shares equivalent to 65.0% of the fully diluted share capital of the combined company, following the merger. At the time the transaction is completed, Unilever will also receive a cash payment of $15.7 billion.
