According to reports, local time on the 1st, U.S. President Trump delivered a nationwide address, unilaterally claiming that the war against Iran has achieved “quick, decisive, overwhelming victory,” and threatening that if an agreement cannot be reached, he will send Iran back to the “Stone Age” within the next two to three weeks.

April 3, coal mining and processing saw a low opening with a rapid downturn; as of the time of this report, component stocks Cloud Coal Energy (600792.SH) fell by more than 9%, while Shaanxi Heimao (601015.SH), Zhengzhou Coal & Electric (600121.SH), An Tai Group (600408.SH), Liaoning Energy (600758.SH), Shanghai Energy (600508.SH), Huadian Energy (600726.SH), and others also fell in line.

Meanwhile, the oil and gas extraction and services sector also declined. Component stocks such as Zhunyou Co., Ltd. (002207.SZ), Shihua Gas (300483.SZ), Blue Flame Holdings (000968.SZ), Bomeico (603727.SH), Tongyuan Petroleum (300164.SZ), and others fell by more than 5%; Xinnatural Gas (603393.SH), Sinopec Oilfield Service (600871.SH), Keli Co., Ltd. According to news reports, local time on the 1st, U.S. President Trump delivered a nationwide address, unilaterally claiming that the war against Iran has achieved “quick, decisive, overwhelming victory,” and threatening that if an agreement cannot be reached, he will send Iran back to the “Stone Age” within the next two to three weeks. However, just minutes after he claimed to have destroyed Iran’s missile system, Iran immediately launched missiles toward northern Israel. Hazratati, chairman of the information commission of the Iranian government, directly criticized Trump’s remarks as “sheer nonsense,” emphasizing that Iran’s missile capabilities are growing stronger, enriched uranium is “undisturbed,” and the Strait of Hormuz remains under Iran’s absolute control.

In addition, according to CCTV International News, the Kārj district Beyk Road bridge in Iran was damaged by U.S. and Israeli airstrikes on April 2. Iranian media reported that the airstrikes caused the deaths of 8 civilians, and another 95 people were injured. President Trump said the action was intended to pressure Iran and the United States to “reach an agreement.” In response, Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi said that disrupting civilian facilities would not force Iran to surrender; such conduct can only show the failure and collapse of morale of the “enemy in chaos.” He emphasized that every bridge and building that is destroyed will be rebuilt, and “even more solid,” and that the established fact that “America’s standing has been harmed” will be irreversible.

UN Secretary-General Guterres warned that “we are on the brink of a broader war.” Putin also made frequent calls with Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister, Egypt’s foreign minister, and the foreign ministers of four Middle Eastern countries, urging increased diplomatic and political efforts to prevent the region from falling into full-scale chaos. Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi spoke by phone with Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov, and both agreed to continue consultations and coordination.
