U.S. military uses earth-penetrating bombs to attack large Iranian ammunition depots

A report by the U.S. daily newspaper The Wall Street Journal on the 30th said that the U.S. military used a 2,000-pound (about 907 kilograms) bunker-busting bomb to strike a large ammunition depot in the central Iranian city of Isfahan.

The report cited a U.S. official as saying that U.S. President Trump earlier posted a video on social media showing the scenes of this attack. The video, which includes no explanations, shows under the night sky a series of massive explosions, with rolling smoke billowing up into the air.

The report also said that over the past month, the U.S. military has struck more than 11k Iranian targets, “with a particular focus on Iran’s offensive facilities.” (Xinhua)
