Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Industry Association: AI development should not be hindered by over-caution; safety and risk control must be promoted together

The Global Developer Vanguard Conference will be held in Shanghai from March 27 to March 29. During the conference, Zhong Junhao, Secretary-General of the Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Industry Association, said in an interview with a reporter from Securities Times that the “crayfish-raising” craze shows that AI is making the leap from production tools to productive forces. At present, AI agent technology is still undergoing rapid iteration, and the industry is at a stage of “advancing while exploring, and moving forward through exploration.” When it comes to AI safety and regulatory matters, we must neither throw caution to the wind nor ignore risks. Instead, we should rely on existing cybersecurity management frameworks, and combine them with the establishment of inherent security for large models, to gradually standardize industry development.
