China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing: The China Bulk Commodity Price Index (CBPI) for March was 129.9 points, up 4% month-on-month.

**Guancha News:**On April 5, the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing released the China bulk commodity price index for March.

Data show that in March, the China bulk commodity price index was 129.9 points, up 4% month over month and up 14.5% year over year, both better than the same period last year.

Judging from the index’s performance, after the holiday, enterprises’ production resumed steadily, market demand was released more effectively, and both supply and demand showed positive changes in both directions; the favorable outlook for the bulk commodity market was further consolidated.

By industry: the chemical price index rose sharply to 122.5 points, up 21.8% month over month and up 12.9% year over year; the energy price index climbed quickly to 110.7 points, up 16.5% month over month and up 10.7% year over year; the agricultural products price index continued to move higher to 101.1 points, up 2.8% month over month and up 3.8% year over year; the ferrous metals price index stopped falling and rebounded to 79.7 points, up 0.9% month over month and down 0.8% year over year; the non-ferrous metals price index fell slightly to 158.0 points, down 0.1% month over month and up 20.2% year over year; the mineral price index continued to decline to 69.2 points, down 0.7% month over month and down 11.1% year over year.

By commodity: among the 50 bulk commodities key-monitored by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, compared with last month, this month 38 commodities (76%) saw price increases, while 12 commodities (24%) saw price declines. The top three bulk commodities by increase this month were diesel, methanol, and ethylene glycol, with month-over-month increases of 30.5%, 30.4%, and 29.3% respectively; the top three by decline were praseodymium neodymium oxide, electrolytic zinc, and coking coal, with month-over-month decreases of 7.0%, 3.6%, and 3.6% respectively.
