just learned that north korea has actual haircut rules enforced by the government lol. like, 28 state-approved hairstyles total, and citizens literally cannot get kim jong un's signature cut. 18 styles for women, 10 for men, and that's it. the whole thing is wild because it's part of keeping the leader's image "unique" or whatever.



thinking about how strict these north korea haircut regulations actually are... violating them can get you in serious trouble. it's honestly one of those things that shows how deep the control goes over there - they're literally dictating what people can do with their own hair to maintain this cult of personality around the kim dynasty.

like i get having laws about serious stuff, but micromanaging haircuts? that's a whole different level of rigid control over people's personal lives. kinda puts things in perspective ngl
