On March 23, Liao Min, Vice Minister of Finance, met in Beijing with Tan Sen, Chairman of the U.S.-China Business Council, for in-depth exchanges on issues related to China-U.S. economic and trade relations. Liao Min, as arranged, briefed Tan Sen on the Paris economic and trade consultations between China and the United States, and emphasized that China is willing to develop bilateral economic and trade relations with the U.S. on the basis of the principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation. He welcomed U.S. companies to continue to deepen their engagement in China and further expand investment in China. He hoped that the U.S.-China Business Council would continue to play a good role as a bridge and link. Tan Sen said that under the current situation, China has become a globally important stabilizing force, and Americans’ positive impressions of China are also steadily increasing. The business community in the United States is highly concerned about the proposed China-U.S. trade and investment cooperation mechanism. He welcomed Chinese companies to invest in the U.S. and to further deepen economic and trade cooperation between the two countries. (Sina Finance)
