Tesla is about to release the next version of the FSD update.
Tesla appears to be preparing to roll out its next fully autonomous driving (FSD) update, and the release timeline could be earlier than expected.
Elon Musk said that version 14.3 has already been tested internally with employees and should be ready for a broader rollout before this weekend. This usually indicates that Tesla is satisfied with the software’s status.
But this update is not being developed in a vacuum. Regulators are watching closely. After a series of accidents (including a fatal crash), U.S. safety officials have launched a more in-depth review of Tesla’s system, which has performed poorly in low-visibility conditions.
So, on the one hand, Tesla continues to push out updates and improve the system. On the other hand, pressure is mounting for it to prove that it can safely handle real-world edge cases.
