Trump says Iran's ceasefire response is not good enough and will "take away the oil," reaffirming the 7th as the final deadline.
According to CCTV News, U.S. President Trump responded on Monday, April 6, U.S. Eastern Time, to Iran’s response to the ceasefire proposal that the United States put forward. Trump said that Iran’s proposal is meaningful, but not good enough. Trump also said that if it were up to him, he would “take the oil.”
On Monday, while attending an event at the White House, Trump mentioned Iran to the media and reiterated that Tuesday, April 7, is the final deadline for Iran to reach an agreement to prevent the U.S. from attacking the Yidian Power Plant and energy facilities.
According to CCTV and Xinhua News Agency, Trump said that this coming Tuesday is the final deadline, “cannot be changed.” He said that Iran’s proposal is “although very significant, it is still not good enough” — “if they take the necessary actions, this war could end very quickly.”
Trump said that if the Iranian side does certain things, the war could end quickly. Those who speak on behalf of Iran are now more rational. He reiterated that Iran cannot have nuclear weapons, and also said that if Iran does not make concessions, there will be no bridges or power plants.
