A reporter learned today (the 28th) from China Petrochemical that the country’s first million-ton-level carbon capture, utilization, and storage full-chain demonstration project—the China Petrochemical Shengli Oilfield carbon capture, utilization, and storage project—has exceeded a total carbon dioxide injection volume of 1.3 billion cubic meters, setting a new historical high since the project began operation, indicating that China has achieved a substantial breakthrough in the areas of large-scale carbon emission reduction and green energy development.
