On the 28th local time, the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization issued a statement saying that the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant was attacked on the 27th at 12:40, and a projectile struck the facility, but no casualties or damage to property and technology occurred. The statement noted that, according to a preliminary investigation, the relevant projectile did not cause damage to any part of the nuclear power plant, and the facility is currently operating normally.

It is understood that this is the third time the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant has been attacked by the United States and Israel since the recent outbreak of hostilities. The statement emphasized that the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant is in operation and contains a large amount of radioactive material; if it is damaged, it could trigger a serious nuclear accident and cause irreversible consequences for the region.

The Iranian side also pointed out that attacks on peaceful nuclear facilities clearly violate international rules and relevant obligations and may pose serious risks to regional security and stability. (CCTV News)
