Burkina Faso's Transitional Legislative Assembly is renamed the People's Legislative Assembly

On March 27, local time, members of Burkina Faso’s Transitional Legislative Assembly held a plenary session in the capital, Ouagadougou, and unanimously approved the “People’s Progress and Revolutionary Charter.” This move signaled the revision of the “Transitional Charter” adopted in 2024 into the “Revolutionary Charter.” At the same time, the Transitional Legislative Assembly was renamed the People’s Legislative Assembly, the party component within the legislature was abolished, and the relevant seats were reassigned.
