ME News message: On April 4 (UTC+8), F2Pool co-founder Wang Chun posted on the X platform, clearly opposing the proposed Bitcoin BIP-110 and BIP-54 protocol upgrades. His core reason is opposition to forcibly pushing through changes in a way similar to U.S. politicians’ “bundling bills” under the “bundling bill” style. He noted that most of the issues being discussed do not have real urgency: the time warp attack provides miners with no practical benefits; block validation efficiency has been significantly improved through libraries and hardware; and forging confirmed transactions would require cracking SHA256—if this were possible, BTC’s underlying security would already be compromised. Wang Chun believes these issues are not enough to justify protocol changes; only “replay transactions” has repair value, making it the small number of changes worth implementing. (Source: PANews)
