Odaily Planet Daily News: The Nasdaq-listed company BTC Digital announced that it has reached a joint development and operations agreement with Aurora Energy. The plan is to build an off-grid natural gas power generation compute infrastructure project in Alberta, Canada, and to explore a path that integrates energy with AI computing power. In the first phase, the project is expected to build 5–10MW natural gas power compute facilities. It will use locally available idle natural gas resources to generate electricity on site, providing stable, low-cost power for Bitcoin mining, while reserving the capability to expand to AI computing, data centers, and high-performance computing (HPC) applications. It is reported that BTC Digital will provide Bitcoin mining hardware, experience in computing power operations, and digital infrastructure solutions, and will prepare for the later introduction of AI computing power equipment and modular data centers.
