Starting April 5th, the fuel surcharge for mainland China routes will be increased.
Reporters learned on April 1 from airlines including Air China, China Southern Airlines, and China United Airlines that for China mainland route tickets sold starting at 0:00 on April 5, the fuel surcharge will be increased.
The specific standards are: for routes with a distance of 800 kilometers (inclusive) or below, the fuel surcharge is 60 yuan per flight segment; for routes above 800 kilometers, it is 120 yuan per flight segment. Infant passengers are exempt from the fuel surcharge, while children, revolutionary martyrs and disabled servicemembers, and people’s police officers with work-related injuries or disabilities will have the fuel surcharge charged at half rate.
For China mainland route tickets sold on or before April 4 (inclusive), if changes are made after April 5 (inclusive), the fare difference will not be collected under the new standards. (Reporter Wang Yuhao)
