Ningbo Ocean Shipping's revenue and net profit will both increase by 2025, with container shipping capacity surpassing 100k TEUs
NetEase Finance AI News Ningbo Ocean Shipping releases its 2025 annual report. The company’s full-year operating revenue was RMB 6.11B, up 15.86% year over year; net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was RMB 654 million, up 18.12% year over year; and non-GAAP net profit was RMB 613 million, up 16.96% year over year. Basic earnings per share were RMB 0.50, up 19.05% year over year.
In 2025, the company remained united in purpose and focused on delivering results. It fully grasped the work requirements of “open cooperation, reform and innovation, and tackling tough problems with practical execution,” and carried out the “Strive for 30” special action in an all-round way, making solid, substantive progress in high-quality development. Focusing deeply on its core business, it steadily expanded the market. During the reporting period, the company completed 5.85 million TEU of container transportation for the full year, up 14.04%; and completed 27.05 million tons of bulk cargo transportation, up 4.50%. Its short-haul and cross-ocean business followed the main development line of “enhancing high-quality service in Northeast Asia, expanding further in Southeast Asia, and deepening investment, and expanding the reach of routes,” completing 0.75 million TEU of box volume for the full year, up 17.37%. For the domestic trade business, it completed 1.21 million TEU of box volume for the full year, up 5.03%. For the feeder business, it completed 3.89 million TEU of box volume for the full year, up 16.50%.
Green intelligence leads, and capabilities have leaped notably. During the reporting period, the company delivered and put into operation eight 1,000 TEU open-top container ships; two 740 TEU pure electric container cargo ships, described as “the largest in the world and the first of its kind domestically,” were selected as part of the National Development and Reform Commission’s “Green Low-Carbon Advanced Technology Demonstration Project,” and successfully carried out delivery and sailing; and the construction projects for four 2,700 TEU container vessels were completed with contract signing. As of the end of the reporting period, the company operated a total of 113 vessels, with container capacity exceeding 100k standard boxes. Among global container liner companies, it ranked 24th. Changes in operating revenue were mainly due to an increase in the company’s business volume in the current period and higher business freight rates.
