Some regions have gradually rolled out supporting measures such as promoting consumption and encouraging parents to take time off, in hopes of achieving the goal of setting spring and autumn breaks.

The spring break in cities such as Nanjing and Suzhou in Jiangsu runs from April 1 to April 3, allowing students to connect it with the Qingming holiday and create a 6-day “mini-holiday.” Within Sichuan Province, Chengdu’s spring break dates are independently chosen by each district (city) or county based on local circumstances, and most schedule the spring break for April 1 to April 3. In Hubei Province, places such as Enshi similarly set the spring break for April 1 to April 3. In some districts and counties of Chongqing, the spring break totals two days, with one day each before and after the Qingming Festival.
