I've been closely following the Chinese crypto scene lately, and there are some projects that really stand out due to their growth potential.
NEO is basically China's version of Ethereum—a solid platform for smart contracts with genuine government support. The two-token system (NEO for governance and GAS for transaction fees) is well designed. After the recent regulatory wave, projects with state backing gain much more credibility.
Then there's VeChain, which is different—it's not just speculation; it has real use cases. Walmart, BMW, PwC are using it for supply chain tracking and anti-counterfeiting. This isn't empty promises; it's a functioning business. I see plenty of room for growth here, especially with a focus on green technologies and ESG.
Conflux is interesting because it's the fastest Chinese blockchain I know—3,000 transactions per second is serious. The key point is that it's the only publicly regulated blockchain in China, which significantly changes the game for integration with traditional businesses.
Ontology also deserves attention with its focus on data protection and decentralized identity. Its applications in healthcare and finance are very promising, and compatibility with Ethereum and Polkadot greatly expands the ecosystem.
What I find most appealing about these projects is that they've moved beyond empty promises. They have real use cases, concrete partnerships, and now, with regulatory changes creating a more predictable environment. Chinese crypto is in a different phase now.
My advice is not to put everything into a single project—diversify among those with proven real benefits. It's worth paying close attention to this space.
