On the 25th, Zhengzhou University Alumni Association released a statement mourning Zhang Xuefeng: Mr. Zhang Xuefeng, an alumnus of our school's Water Supply and Drainage Engineering program, unfortunately passed away in Suzhou on March 24, 2026 at 15:50 due to sudden illness despite all-out rescue efforts. He was only 41 years old.

The Zhengzhou University Alumni Association expresses deep condolences for the passing of alumnus Zhang Xuefeng and extends its most sincere sympathies to his family.

Alumnus Zhang Xuefeng always cared deeply for his alma mater, returning to campus multiple times to reunite, continuing to write his profound affection and commitment to his mother school. He donated and established the "Peak Scholar Veyond Scholarship," providing financial assistance to fellow junior schoolmates from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, and with a patriotic heart, extended the warmth of his alma mater to the feet of more dream-chasers.

His departure deeply grieves the mother school and all alumni. Though he has departed, his spirit endures.
