Today (the 24th) marks the 31st "World Tuberculosis Day." Tuberculosis can affect multiple organs throughout the body, with over 80% being pulmonary tuberculosis. Pulmonary tuberculosis spreads through droplets. When patients cough or sneeze, tuberculosis bacteria droplets are expelled and transmitted through the air. After infection with tuberculosis bacteria, approximately 5-10% of infected individuals will eventually develop symptoms and progress to tuberculosis disease. With standardized treatment, the successful treatment rate for pulmonary tuberculosis patients can exceed 90%.
