Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani on the 23rd local time stated that in recent days, through some friendly countries, they received information about the US request to negotiate an end to the conflict. Iran has responded based on its own principles and stance.

Kanaani said that in the relevant response, Iran issued a warning regarding potential consequences of attacks on its critical infrastructure and emphasized that any action against Iran’s energy infrastructure will be met with a “decisive, immediate, and effective” response by Iranian armed forces.

He also pointed out that during the past 24 days of conflict, Iran has not engaged in any negotiations with the US, and Iran’s position on the Strait of Hormuz issue and the conditions for ending the conflict remains unchanged.
