Pakistan, Turkey, and Egypt are reportedly trying to mediate talks between the United States and Iran. Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Tuesday that he is ready to host talks between Iran and the U.S. to help resolve the Middle East conflict, which has led to the most severe energy crisis in modern history.

Earlier, U.S. media reported that multiple countries are coordinating with Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, and Vice President JD Vance for talks later this week in Islamabad, Pakistan.

Qatar’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson said that Qatar is not currently involved in mediating between the U.S. and Iran but is focusing on maintaining its own national security.

However, Iran firmly denied any talks with the U.S., contradicting statements made by U.S. President Trump.
