Apple (AAPL.US) Launches Apple Business Platform to Expand Maps Advertising and Service Revenue Growth Opportunities
Bloomberg News has learned that Apple (AAPL.US) announced on Tuesday the launch of a new enterprise service platform, “Apple Business,” aimed at helping companies manage devices more efficiently and reach customers more effectively. At the same time, by enhancing advertising features within the Maps app, Apple seeks to further expand its service revenue streams.
According to a statement from Apple, the platform allows businesses to configure employee groups and device settings, and it will be available for free in over 200 countries and regions worldwide starting April 14. Susan Prescott, Apple’s Vice President of Marketing for Enterprise and Education, stated that this platform is a significant step in the company’s long-term effort to help various enterprises leverage the Apple ecosystem for operations and growth.
Although Apple Business itself is a free service, one of its core objectives is to drive growth in advertising spending. In recent years, advertising has become a key focus area for Apple’s services segment.
Specifically, Apple plans to launch map advertising features in the U.S. and Canada this summer. When users search for related keywords in the Maps app, businesses will gain more prominent placement, increasing visibility and customer acquisition.
Additionally, Apple Business will help companies reach users through email, digital wallets, and voice assistants, further strengthening the commercial ecosystem within Apple.
It is worth noting that Apple previously launched a similar project called “Apple Business Connect.” The new platform is seen as an upgrade in its enterprise services and advertising monetization efforts.
