National Intellectual Property Administration: Industrialization Rate of Invention Patents from Universities and Research Institutions Significantly Improved

People’s Financial News, March 23 — At today’s (23rd) press conference held by the State Council Information Office, the National Intellectual Property Administration announced that during the special campaign for patent transformation and application, approximately 80,000 invention patents from universities and research institutions across the country have been successfully commercialized. By the end of 2025, the industrialization rates of invention patents from universities and research institutions are expected to reach 10.1% and 17.2%, respectively, showing significant improvement compared to before the campaign. A batch of high-quality existing patents has been identified and transformed.
