Gate Proof of Reserves – Transparency as a Foundation
Gate’s release of a new Proof of Reserves covering nearly 500 assets, with a BTC reserve ratio of 147%, is something I personally see as more than just a routine update. For me, this is about trust architecture in crypto markets.
After everything the industry has been through over the past years, transparency is no longer optional—it’s a requirement. A reserve ratio above 100% means that the platform holds more Bitcoin than user liabilities, and that alone sends a strong signal. But what really stands out to me is the scale: covering around 500 assets suggests a commitment to broad accountability, not just selective disclosure.
From my perspective, Proof of Reserves is evolving into a competitive benchmark among exchanges. It’s no longer just about having liquidity, but about proving it continuously and verifiably. I think users are becoming more sophisticated—they don’t just want access to markets, they want assurance that their funds are actually backed.
Personally, I interpret this as a step toward rebuilding long-term confidence in centralized platforms. It also reinforces the idea that transparency can coexist with large-scale operations, which is something the market desperately needs.
