Former U.S. Navy intelligence officer Malcolm Nance revealed that the United States is deploying special operations forces to the Middle East on a large scale. According to his knowledge, the core units of the U.S. rapid response forces have been dispatched to the region:
— 1st and 2nd Battalions of the 75th Ranger Regiment (core force responsible for seizing airports and fortified positions).
— 5th Special Forces Group ("Green Berets"). This unit specializes in unconventional warfare and organizational disruption operations.
— Delta Force and SEAL Team 6. These elite units are responsible for executing high-risk precision strikes and critical missions.
— 621st Squadron "Devil's Strike." This unit is responsible for rapid preparation of occupied airports to receive heavy transport aircraft.
Nance emphasized that this concentration of forces is clearly preparing for an attack on Iranian islands, including the critical oil hub of Khargh Island.
