As artificial intelligence (AI) workloads rapidly occupy enterprise data centers, the importance of supporting them with “resilient infrastructure” becomes increasingly evident. This is because they face threats as complex as those posed to AI models. Dell Technologies recognizes this need and is working to strengthen network resilience and data protection capabilities to bridge the gap between AI ambitions and operational security.

Jim Shuck, Head of Cybersecurity and Compliance Practices at Dell Technologies, stated, “When we launch new projects, security must be considered from the design phase.” He pointed out that many enterprises often overlook basic security measures when building AI factories.

At this year’s RSA Conference (RSAC 2026), Dell announced an expansion plan for resilient infrastructure targeted at the mid-market. The release includes new PowerProtect Data Domain devices and extended managed detection and response services covering the AI data storage platform PowerScale.

Like traditional systems, AI infrastructure also has attack vectors and faces unique risks such as data poisoning and model manipulation. Dell research shows that only 40% of organizations worldwide can minimize impact and successfully recover during simulated cyberattacks or incident drills. Since AI still runs on underlying infrastructure, if that infrastructure lacks resilience, it will be difficult to manage risks or ensure compliance. Dell emphasizes its unique position in integrating all elements to address these challenges.

Building on the experience of security practitioners, Dell continuously evolves its solutions to quickly adapt to AI infrastructure, helping customers more easily meet current challenges.
