The Yangtze Business School released the China Business Conditions Index (hereinafter referred to as “Yangtze Business School BCI”) for February 2026. The index for February 2026 was 52.4, slightly down from 53.7 in January 2026.

Specifically, the business sales outlook index saw a slight increase, rising from 64.7 last month to 69.1 this month. The business profit outlook index experienced a slight decline, with this month’s index at 51.2 compared to 52.7 last month. The financing environment index also decreased slightly this month, from 50.3 last month to 48.7. The business inventory outlook index declined as well, from 47.3 last month to 40.7 this month.

Additionally, the labor cost outlook index for February showed a slight decrease, from 67.1 last month to 63.9 this month. The total business cost outlook index also decreased slightly, from 67.5 last month to 66.1 this month.

In terms of prices, the consumer goods price outlook index rose significantly, from 51.5 last month to 58.3 this month. The intermediate goods price outlook index experienced a slight decline, from 39.9 last month to 36.7 this month.
