After pushing up from around 5,128 to a high near 5,358, price is now sitting close to 5,291. That’s not weakness, that’s consolidation after a strong climb. Buyers showed up earlier and drove the move, now the market is deciding the next step.
If gold holds above the 5,260 – 5,280 area, this can turn into another push toward the highs again. But if it slips below that support, we could see a deeper pullback before the next move.
