SBF: The future of cryptocurrency depends on whether AI will start using it for payments
FTX founder SBF wrote on social media that the main question for the crypto market is whether AI will pay with cryptocurrency when it needs computational resources. According to him, traditional payments are limited by KYC requirements, which AI cannot fulfill without documents, whereas cryptocurrency allows direct operation through the blockchain. He suggested an alternative model where AI acts as an agent for a human with KYC, but then the question of legal responsibility for AI's actions remains open.
