Abstract generation in progress

India’s Ministry of External Affairs has clearly stated that all of the country’s oil purchase decisions are based on national interests. Spokesperson Jaiswal emphasized that this stance continues the energy policy recently clarified by Foreign Minister Harsh Vardhan Shringla. According to reports from RTHK and Xinhua News Agency, India is willing to consider purchasing oil from new suppliers, including Venezuela, as long as the commercial conditions meet the country’s needs.

Oil Purchase Strategy Focused on National Interests

Foreign Minister Shringla explicitly explained that India’s energy policy is always built on three core principles: ensuring adequate oil supply, maintaining reasonable prices, and securing stable sources. These criteria will determine whether India engages in oil trade relationships with any country.

Diversifying Energy Supply Sources

India is committed to implementing a strategy of diversifying its energy suppliers globally. By not being tied to a single supplier, India can optimize energy costs and reduce supply chain risks. This policy reflects India’s determination to protect its economy through practical and strategic energy decisions.
