The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has issued the Implementation Opinions on the “Opinions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council on Solidly Promoting Rural Revitalization with Modern Agriculture and Rural Areas as the Anchor,” which emphasizes enhancing the effectiveness of agricultural science and technology innovation. It calls for strengthening the strategic force of national agricultural science and technology, coordinating the construction of science and technology innovation platforms and bases, and promoting deep integration of technological and industrial innovation. The plan emphasizes reinforcing frontier and original innovations in agriculture, comprehensively advancing major projects in biological breeding and national key research and development programs in agriculture, and focusing on achieving a series of landmark original results in core seed sources and key agricultural machinery equipment. It aims to cultivate and expand leading agricultural science and technology enterprises, implement the “Hundred, Thousand, Ten Thousand” agricultural science and technology enterprise cultivation project, guide enterprises to lead the formation of innovation consortia (alliances), and promote deep integration of industry, academia, and research led by enterprises. Additionally, it stresses strengthening the safety of agricultural science and technology, scientific supervision, and the construction of research integrity.
