Abstract generation in progress

Hexagon Health Inc. has voluntarily dismissed its federal lawsuit against Medtronic Plc, which had accused Medtronic of patent infringement related to hernia-mesh designs. The lawsuit was dropped before Medtronic had to respond to the complaint, closing the door on renewing the claims. The case involved Hexagon’s founder, surgeon Shirin Towfigh, who had disclosed these designs to Medtronic prior to a failed business collaboration.
